Conquer your addiction in our exclusive inpatient program
Clients in our inpatient program stay at our luxury facility set on 23-acres of natural beauty in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Our residential program takes clients from detox, through understanding and dealing with root causes of their addictions, to the development of a personalized, concrete, specific and measurable discharge plan.
Summit Estate is exclusive. We maintain only a small number of residential client spots and a staff-to-client ratio of 3-1. This means we’re able to give each of our clients the personalized care that they need to overcome the difficulties of addiction and build a foundation for long-term sobriety.
Preparing for your treatment
Please have a look at our comprehensive list of what to bring (and what not to bring) to Summit Estate before packing for your recovery treatment.
Your first days at Summit Estate
When you arrive at Summit Estate, you’ll meet with our Program Director so that we can better understand any particular needs or concerns you have, and to review admissions paperwork. Finally you’ll see a Summit Estate medical doctor to discuss and begin your individualized treatment program.
After the admissions process, you’re encouraged to get started on your individualized recovery program as soon as you feel ready to do so. Most clients are able to fully engage in Summit Estate activities within 24 hours of arrival.
Your daily schedule at Summit Estate
A typical day in our inpatient program begins with delicious and healthy breakfast. All meals are designed in collaboration with our Addictions Nutritionist to be tasty, nutritious and therapeutic. We encourage you to start the morning with a brief meditation session before attending counseling and therapy sessions on a variety of topics. Later in the day, you might be invited to enjoy a session of yoga, art therapy or personal training to strengthen your mind, body and spirit. Daily group sessions give you a chance to connect with other clients and develop healthy behaviors for long-term sobriety.
On Wednesdays, clients can vote on where they’d like to go for a full-day outing. Want to hang out on the beach? Tour a museum? Summit Estate may be beautiful, but it can be fun and therapeutic to get off the grounds for a change of pace.
On Saturdays and Sundays we tend to plan family time, both for individual family therapy and for personal visits.
Every night you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner, followed by another counseling session. Finally, you’ll have a few hours of personal time to wind down and enjoy our amenities before bed.
