Our Comprehensive Prescription Drug Rehab Program
Addiction to, and dependence on, prescription medications can be fatal if left unaddressed but does not have to be so with effective treatment. Prescription drug abusers can regain control over their lives and recover. Our prescription drug addiction treatment program in California, like any drug addiction program, is complex. Inpatient residential treatment is often necessary to effectively address the effects of prolonged prescription drug abuse on the mind and body.
Summit Estate’s residential program begins, for each client, with an option for a full psychiatric evaluation upon admission. Dual diagnosis patients may be identified at the time, and any co-occurring disorders, such as anxiety or depression will be accounted for. Our certified and professional substance abuse counselors will then map out a recovery plan for each client for up to 90 days.
The client’s recovery process officially kicks off with medically supervised detox, a multi-day process that rids the body of lingering effects of the prescription drugs he or she was abusing.
After their time in our prescription drug detox center, clients begin their personalized holistic treatment plan, which helps restore their mental and physical health. Yoga, acupuncture, massage and outdoor activities will be offered during this time, as will optional 12-step meetings and group and individual therapy sessions. Each client will also receive individualized nutritional counseling during their residential stay at Summit Estate, and dine on delicious, high-quality, nutrition-rich meals to help allay any cravings left over from their prescription drug abuse.
Residents of Northern California can receive many of the same services at our luxurious, private rehab – customized care and group and one-on-one therapy sessions – at Summit Estate’s Outpatient clinic in San Jose, which also functions as an extended and continued care facility. Some clients who are in our residential prescription drug treatment program will have the option of transitioning to the San Jose facility after their first 30 or 60 days of care.
