“Rock bottom” often refers to the point when a person has reached an all-time low and realizes they need to pursue addiction treatment. The point at which this occurs varies from person to person and is dependent on each person’s individual perspective on life or circumstances. Some people realize the damage their addiction is causing and seek treatment on their own. Others need the influence of family and friends to help change their mindset about recovery. Summit Estate Recovery Center works with individuals and their families when it has been determined that it is time to seek help.
Intervention
When a friend or family member is struggling with substance abuse but are not willing to seek help, an intervention may be necessary. An intervention is an opportunity for friends and family to tell the addicted person how their struggle is affecting the lives of the people around them. This is done in a non-combative manner to try and change the perspective of the addicted loved one. Our interventionists can work with you to prepare or facilitate an intervention for your loved one.
